Axis Controller¶
Axis is a single-axis jog controller for motors driven by a step/dir interface.
Features¶
- Power: Wide power supply input support from 9 to 24 VDC
-
Interface:
- STEP, DIR, EN 5V logic
- LIM+/LIM/GND limit input with with configurable edge trigger
- FAULT input
- Configurable pin directions (Step, Dir, Enable, Limit)
-
Limits: Support for mechanical, PNP or NPN terminal switches
- Homing: The limit switch can used as a home switch, a reference poin where the position is zeroed out and motion is then restricted within the bounds of software (virtual) limits.
- Speed potentiometer, Jog buttons (step and controlled and continuous), Shift, Menu/Enable, LCD with contrast control, buzzer feedback
- Step rate up to 75KHz
- Configurable steps/rev and units/rev for accurate translation of rotational to linear/rotational motion
- Backlash compensation support
- Adjustable Speed/RPM via potentiometer (even when in motion) (with configurable maximum speed).
- Bouncing: Reverses the motor on triggering a hardware limit (limit switch) or a software limit (when axis is homed), on Forward, Backward or for both directions.
Controls / Jogging:¶
- Continuous movement, after long press of
A-/A+ - Controlled movement, while
B-/B+are pressed - Step Mode: cycle through predefined step sizes with
UP/DOWN
Units¶
- Μetric: Position units
mm - Ιmperial: Position units
inches - Degrees: Position units

Where to start¶
- See Wiring for pinouts and sensor/driver wiring modes.
- Use Settings to shape motion behavior, pin polarities, and units.
- Check Usage for button combos, step/continuous jogging, and how to enter/exit the menu.
- For homing behavior and safety, read Limits & Homing.
